This has helped me so much. I’m not addicted to alcohol but everything is relevant to me and has given me more clarity on my situation. Thank you so much 💓

I am so glad that you found some value. The truth is, we are all addicted to our thinking: replaying, manipulating, and projecting what we already know. We experience a spiritual awakening, when we remember that our true Self (unattached Awareness) is the ever-present, silent observer of our mind (self-ego: attached identity) trying to change/fix our memories and/or project a revised version of our past experiences into the future as a new life situation; the illusion of the surroundings may appear to have changed, but the thinking is the same, firing the same old hard-wiring in the brain — albeit in a new place at a seemingly different time (which is always Now) — is the definition of addiction. Then, we wire our drugs of choice to fire up when we want to escape the pain of repeating our past hard-wired traumas, when they get triggered. We are all addicted to our past until we awaken to remember it is always Now, where our self-ego can’t exist, when our mind-body is quiet: in a meditative state or deep sleep. Please remember to Stay Aware: do nothing, get comfortable, quietly, patiently, peacefully observe your thoughts and they will disappear, and your true Self-awareness will arise, which can happen anywhere when you are in the present moment. Sorry, I don’t mean to overreach, my understanding has become extremely expressive. Thank you.
