We are all here in Recovery from being isolated in our addictions. We came here because we didn’t want to suffer alone anymore. We had no other choice but to share our past with others, to dilute the pain and suffering we couldn’t resolve on our own, in a community of loving-kindness—our newly found ocean of Love.
We are not cured, but we are healing, feeling surrounded by people with similar experiences and needs. The question now is, how do I stay connected to this community for support, and where can I find unconditional Love in my world outside?
I have identified some of the holes in my Life that were never filled with the Love I needed, and it feels like some of them are being filled here in Recovery. When I leave, how can I continue to uncover and fill the holes from my past and heal any new wounds with Love rather than my drug of choice when they appear in the future?
Where can I consistently find and safely project unconditional Love, and feel it being reflected by the world around me?
